BANGKOK - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted on Friday
(12/7) that he admired "Wayne Rooney, but he never says it wants to
recruit Manchester United star.
Mourinho when Chelsea started speaking tour of Asia in
Bangkok, just a few hours after Rooney suffered a hamstring muscle injury on
the first day of the arrival of United. Injury it causes the player to leave
the Thai capital.
"That is a funny question, because the trap from an
ethical standpoint, I can not talk about players from other teams,"
Mourinho told the journalist who was on the ground floor. "But again, you
know me and you know that I am not the type of character who speaks with a bit
hypocritical. I always say what I say, what I think."
"I always say that he is a player who is very, very I
like, but I can not say more than that. (As a player) quickly and directly
(playing in front), I really liked it but it was Man United player."
Mourinho looking for a striker who can complement Fernando
Torres, and he has brought back the previous Romelu Lukaku on loan to West
Bromwich Albion.
Questions about the future of Rooney was raised by his
departure after only a few hours following the United tour, which was announced
through a statement two lines on the club's official website, stating that he
would be sidelined for a month.
However, Rooney said via his Facebook page that it was only
a "minor injury" and "there's nothing to worry about."
Rooney declined to confirm his future plans after the departure of United
manager Alex Ferguson. May the former coach had admitted that the England
international was once asked to be sold.
This week, the Daily Mail says Chelsea spend up to 60
million pounds bid to seek Rooney, who has also been linked with Paris St
Germain and Arsenal.
